Should the government tell you what to do with your body?
Georgia's governor Brian Kemp feels as if its his choice to decide what women should do with their body. Georgia has been under an abortion ban,a new law which would make termination illegal before many women even know they're pregnant. Telling women they can not have abortions and do what they want with their own body is taking away their basic human rights. Having the baby can do more harm than good because the baby could be a product of incest, rape, and drunken accidents and in some cases the baby could put the mothers life at risk. Conditions ranging from ectopic pregnancy in which an embryo implants itself outside of the uterus, to preeclampsia which causes skyrocketing blood pressure and can lead to strokes and seizures, can and do threaten the lives of pregnant women. A fetus does not have an heartbeat until after 3 to 4 weeks! so the officials who claims that a heart beat is detected at only two weeks is giving out false information. abortion should not be banned and women should not be harassed for wanting an abortion. however, some may think women should not have been having sex if they didn't want to get pregnant but they should not be ridiculed for having a human desire that all humans even other animals have and they certainly should not be force to keep a child they do not want or may not be able to care for. Some women may have been forced into sexual acts that later on resulted in them getting pregnant. Just recently, may 14, 2019 to be exact a precious child has been pronounced as pregnant at the tender age of eleven....i would think people would want an eleven year old to play with a baby alive not a baby that is alive. This is something she shouldn't have to experience at such a young age. She was a victim of a rapist and now has to carry his child into the world because the new bill signed by Ohio gov. Mike Dewine last month bans women from obtaining an abortion once a heart beat is detected. So this young girl is going to be traumatized because a man says she cant have an abortion. They're making her have a child when she herself is a child. This poor girl could be at risk if she has this child and the baby could even be at risk, the younger the mother is , the greater the risk to her and her baby. the risk of maternal death related to pregnancy and childbirth for adolescent girls between 15 and 19 years of age accounts for 70,000 deaths each year! For girls younger than 15 the risk increases dramatically. Girls who give birth before age 15 are five times more likely to die in child birth than women in their twenties. So why are the government making her risk her life to bring an unwanted child into this world? Well maybe their misogynist or maybe just prejudice against women. So i'll ask again should the government tell you what to do with your body? I don't know about you but i want full ownership over mines! #mybodymychoice
